Project Description:
By organizing the project into a series of districts connected by an interior arcade and an exterior thoroughfare dotted with plazas and terraces, SBA was able to create a 2,500,000 sf urban destination within the development that caters to a diverse mix of residential, office, hotel, retail, restaurant, and entertainment patrons. ‘Urban Canyon’, the design inspiration behind Nanjing Commercial Center, takes its cue from the surrounding mountains of the site. The entire complex is located along a major boulevard to give it a primary presence within the city. The four levels of retail extend the full length of the site and are completely integrated with the hotel, service apartments and offices above, to create a unique layout that allows for active street connections
