S.B.Architects (SBA) is an award-winning international design firm specializing in architectural design, interior design, master planning, and urban design. Our mission is to create built environments that respond to the diverse needs of our clients and their communities.

S.B.Architects (SBA) inherits the traditions of one of oldest premier architectural firm in Boston.  SBA was established by Edwin “Ted” Steffian in 1932. Based in Boston, the firm quickly built a strong reputation within the design community, completing projects for academic institutions and private developers throughout the United States. Peter Steffian joined his father in 1962, and three years later they formed Steffian, Steffian and Bradley with the addition of architect Tony Bradley. Upon Ted’s retirement in 1972, Peter and Tony formed SBA, and expanded the expertise of the firm to work with academic, corporate / commercial, healthcare, and residential clients. In 2002, SBA strengthened our international presence with the opening of China office, beginning a new chapter in our 80-year history. As SBA continues to grow, we remain committed to our legacy of exceptional personalized service and innovative, high-caliber architecture, planning, and interior design.
