Tai’an Development Lounge
Tai’an, China
Project Description:
Using Tai Mountain as a metaphor, the TAI’AN DEVELOPMENT LOUNGE is intended to educate, entertain and entice buyers to this unique residential living and leisure retailing opportunity through an iconic museum-quality experience. Upon entering the lounge, visitors encounter a vast lobby flooded with natural light, angular space, cool modern music, and pristine polished natural stone finishes. The mountain metaphor is evident as the building grows out of the landscape with a shimmering metallic fish-scaled façade and angular glass walls. Flowing staircases between two major building elements appear to stream through the valley like flowing lava. This valley-like element refers to the idea of the south Heavenly Gate on Tai Mountain
To encourage a free flow of traffic visitors are allowed to meander in and out of the building to enjoy the terraces, landscaped spaces, distant views and reflecting pools & fountains. Amenities, including promotional tours, a film and multi-media center, wine bar, juice bar, lounge, two fully appointed and full size mock-up model units, and administrative and contract-signing spaces, are tucked around corners and down passageways to encourage a journey of anticipation, discovery, and surprise at every turn.
