Project Description:

Defined by the concept of ‘port’ as an exchange of ideas, goods, data, and commerce, Liulin Scenic Area is positioned to serve as the Eco Port City for the people of Tianjin. Playing off of this concept and its relevance to water transportation, the area is situated along the historic Haihe River, bringing together man with nature, and buildings with park. It’s central park and cultural waterfront channel human activities between city districts, and open green space combined with community venues encourage cultural, recreational, and entertainment activities.

Upon moving between urban clusters to this eco park and back, experiences flow between and mutually support the Liulin Area and Tianjin City. Residential and R&D clusters both serve as port city piers, surrounded by their own green spaces and waterways, providing physical and symbolic infrastructure that makes this vibrant scenic destination a world-class eco port city for the 21st century.
