Project Description:
The design concept for the CONFERENCE AND CONVENTION CENTER was derived from an imaginary “Ocean Wave.” Located on the coast of Yantai city, the proposed project is a part of the area’s overall development into a new urban center. The design of the CONFERENCE AND CONVENTION CENTER includes undulating strips of glass and metal panels to create a wave-like effect over the top level – in a spectacular spatial effect. Diffused natural light filters down through this permeable layer as sunlight might drift through the water sheets.
