Project Description:
Evoking images of flight, song, escape, hope and joy, Tianjin Concert Hall was designed to be strong and ephemeral, inspiring performers and concert-goers with its majestic shape and the soaring glass roof of its grand lobby. The main concert hall and a separate chamber music hall share common connections through a waterfront café, waterfront music sculpture parks, boardwalks, and specialty retail. Located on the northern end of the city’s axis, the concert hall abuts the Jinmen Gateway Plaza to form a key component in the urban design of this public realm.
